Transmac Representatives Visit Correctional Services Bureau (2019-08-23)

Personnel of Transmac–including Officer of General Manager’s Office Ao Sin In, Manager of HumanResources Department Cheong San Ut and Associate Manager of MaintenanceDepartment Ng Sio Cheong – visited the Correctional Services Bureau on 23August, for a meeting with Acting Director Loi Kam Wan and othermanagement-level personnel, learning about our correctional services andtouring the facilities of Coloane Prison such as the vocational trainingworkshops for inmates.

The meeting began withActing Director Loi Kam Wan thanking Transmac for its attention to inmates and introducingthe kinds of vocational training received by inmates in prison and theemployment scheme for pre-release inmates jointly organized with the SocialWelfare Bureau. Transmac representative, Officer Ao Sin In, then commented thatsupport and acceptance should be given to inmates who keep learning in prisonto become better, and discussed the feasibility of future collaborations withthe Bureau to further support the social rehabilitation of inmates.
