A five-member delegation of the Yunnan Prison Administrative Bureau, led by its Deputy Director, Mr. Li Baotang, visited the Correctional Services Bureau on 18 December, touring the facilities in the cell areas of Coloane Prison and learning about the daily and special equipment used by its prison guards and the latest development of corrections in Macao. Moreover, the delegation discussed in depth and shared practical experiences with Director Cheng Fong Meng, Deputy Director Loi Kam Wan, and other management-level personnel of the Correctional Services Bureau on the vocational training and pre-release employment arrangement for inmates, the mobilization of community support for social reintegration, and human resources planning. Both parties also explored together the development and the future trends of correctional administration.

The Bureau hopes to maintain the close ties and exchanges with correctional and prison departments in various regions, sharing work experiences and continually raising the standards of correctional services.
