Correctional Services Bureau participates in the 5th Asian Prisons Lockdown Challenge
The Asian Prisons Lockdown Challenge this year had a total of four events –“The Marksmen”, “The Specialists”, “Search and Rescue” and “Operation ‘Man Down’”.
The Marksmen
Teams were required to shoot at targets as quickly as possible, a test of speed and precision.
The Specialists
Cooperation among team members was put to test during consecutive challenges such as going through an obstacle course and climbing stairs while carrying weights.
Search and Rescue
Teams were required to memorize the competition guidelines and rules, put on equipment and weapons, go through obstacles, identify and subdue the target in a dim environment, extract the hostages and transport them to the designated area within the shortest time possible. This event tested teams’ operation planning and tactical deployment abilities.
Operation ‘Man Down’
Teams had to respond to the attack on the convoy for escort of a high-risk inmate, eliminate all possible threats and evacuate the casualties to the designated safety zone. This served to test the teams’ emergency response capabilities.
