Sports Meet of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Prison Guards (Correctional Officers)
The titled sports meet for prison guards (correctional officers) are alternately hosted by correctional departments in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao with the aim to reinforce promotion of athletic exercises among prison staff and to advocate the culture of recreation and sports. Through sports exchanges, ties among correctional departments in the three jurisdictions are strengthened and their cooperative relations deepened.
The 6th Sports Meet of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Prison Guards (Correctional Officers), organized by Macao Prison, was held on 24 to 26 April 2012 in Macao, with Guangdong Provincial Prisons Administration Bureau and Hong Kong Correctional Services sending delegations to compete. The Prison also invited guest teams and observer delegations from Singapore Prison Service and Beijing Prison Administration Bureau to take part in the event.
