Service offerings
The launch of the Assistance and Enquiry Service from Social Worker aims to help citizens understand the various application procedures in place in Coloane Prison; follow up on the family issues experienced by citizens arising from imprisonment of their family members; provide related services and measures that are viable; help maintain and promote inmates’ relationship with family.

How to apply
Application procedure and required documents
Application for Service of Appointment with the Social Worker can only be made in written format (information including name of applicant, contact method and name of his/her inmate family or friend must be listed in the application); applicants may also fill out an “Application Form for Service of Appointment with the Social Worker” (the form can be collected at Coloane Prison or Correctional Services Bureau Service and Information Centre or downloaded from the Correctional Services Bureau’s website), and submit it through the following approaches:

Remarks / important notes when applying
Meeting time:
Monday to Friday (except public holidays)
Morning: 09:30 － 12:30
Afternoon: 15:00 － 17:00
Meeting location: Applicants can choose to have the meeting with the social worker either at Coloane Prison or Correctional Services Bureau Service and Information Centre.
If the social worker is unable to attend the meeting at the time specified by the applicant, the applicant will be contacted again for arrangement of another suitable meeting time.
